So, like, CANONS?
We have quite a number of canon Cs in play people's C boxes. We don't really need many of the canons to play in this universe. Voldemort is one that's needed, and maybe the minister. Maybe someone at the school, order of the phoenix, that sort of thing. But ... do we need too many more than that? And if you hold someone you don't play too much of, what do you think about letting it go in favor or original Cs that get out more in storyline?
I like having Rose and Ginny!! I don't want to give them up, on top of several other canon relatives! I love them *hugs them tight* they don't get played that much, but they're still important to me!
The only cannon I really have so far is Narcissa and I'm with Miranda on the fact that I love her! Now, her son's father and son are important to her storyline (although they never get played so as long as they theoretically existed..although I'd LOVE for someone to pick them up), but they could really be replaced with noncannons...so...
I think we should keep cannons and redistrubute the ones that no longer get any play at all if the muns have disappeared or want to give them up.
I started this room because the other rooms I'd been playing in just didn't come up to the standard of role play I was used to. There was no real system that made the play easier for quidditch or combat, and nothing that guided people in making characters with consistent traits. There were far too many rules and not enough fun for everyone. And there was a lot of idiots out there who seem to think that using more words makes you better as a role player than anything else. See, I was always taught what made you a better role player was imagination. Silly me. So, I wanted to have a place where original characters could play in the world built by J.K. Rowling. It was nothing to kill off Harry—a testament of how accomplished she is at world-building—adapted Over The Edge from Atlas Games' system and here we are!
One thing I hate above anything else: Bullshit. I can't tolerate it. Coming in a close second is politics. The lies and stupid attention getting devices meant to make my room into your room don't work on me. I'm completely teflon in that regard and I won't let it happen in my room.
